Artist Raghava KK  debuted a series of new paintings created in collaboration with Artmatr on September 13th from 2pm - 7pm, with an artist talk at 5pm and performances by Morgan Weidinger throughout the evening.

Raghava KK is a multidisciplinary artist and storyteller whose work is shown in galleries and museums around the world. Having quit formal education at the age of 18 to start his career as a newspaper cartoonist, Raghava is today considered one of India's most successful young artists. Raghava also applies his artistic practice beyond the gallery space. He is actively involved in a radical education initiative, NuVu Studios, an offshoot of Harvard and MIT, to redefine creativity in education.  Raghava is a four-time TED speaker, and he has lectured at several universities and art institutions, including NYU, Carnegie Mellon, the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, etc.

Morgan Weidinger graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2017 after 4 years on a full-tuition scholarship. Five Months later she released her independent debut album, Fairchild, and moved to New York City. Over the last 8 months she has performed over 50 self-booked shows in and around NYC, including a few on Riker’s Island. She is a sound and word bender that disrupts the customary of what we do with a violin, guitar, and human voice. In her solo live performance she fills an entire room with layers of sound using a loop pedal and various analog, tone changing effects. She is a mirror, a reporter, and a vessel though which music and poetry flows.
